OCIMF has recently released the "Guidelines To Harden Vessels". This publication provides Guidance regarding the layers of defence of tanker vessels and relevant information regarding vessel's hardening, training and planning when crossing HRA's. For all tankers operators, the most important is that Vessel's Hardening is a part of VIQ7 (Chapter 7) and Oil Majors are already paying attention to that point and make either observations or remarks to vessels which do not have Ship Specific Hardening Plan.
