User Management

The Administrator is the person who is responsible for the correct training of the users and the management of the training information and test results. The Administrator can see more options in the program and is responsible for:

  1. Creating Users.
  2. Modifying User Information such as full name and license number.
  3. Assigning Modules and Tests to Users.
  4. Creating Certificates.

 

Create Users

The Add Users Screen is accessed only by the admininstrator by selecting File - User Management - Add Users on the menu bar. This is the screen where the Administrator creates new users.

In order to add a user:

  1. Enter a username between 4 and 15 characters. Please use normal letters and numbers only.
  2. Enter the Full Name of the user as you wish to appear on the certificates.
  3. Enter a password for the user; 15 characters maximum.
  4. Verify the password for the user.
  5. Select a Rank for the user. The Rank appears on the certificate.
  6. Optionally Enter a License number for the user. The License Number appears on the certificate if it exists.
  7. Click on the ADD USER Button to save the users details to the database.
  8. If you wish to create another user click on the NEW USER Button.
  9. If you are finished entering users, click on the CLOSE WINDOW Button.

 

Make sure that you have write access to the installation folder and subfolders. If an SQL updatable Query error occurs, you have to manually set write access rights to the installation folder.

 

Modify Users

The Modify Users Screen is accessed only by the admininstrator by selecting File - User Management - Modify Users on the menu bar. In this screen the administrator may change some of the user information of an already existing user.

In order to modify a user's details:

  1. Enter a username between 4 and 15 characters to search.
  2. Click on the SEARCH USER Button. If the user exists, the user's data will be loaded. Change below as appropriate.
  3. Enter the Full Name of the user as you wish to appear on the certificates.
  4. Enter a password for the user; 15 characters maximum.
  5. Verify the password for the user.
  6. Select a Rank for the user. The Rank appears on the certificate.
  7. Optionally Enter a License number for the user. The License Number appears on the certificate if it exists.
  8. Click on the MODIFY USER Button to save the users details to the database.
  9. If you wish to modify another user enter a new username and click the SEARCH USER Button.
  10. When you are finished modifying users, click on the CLOSE WINDOW Button.

 

Assign Modules

This screen is only available to the administrator by selecting File - User Management - Assign Modules to Users. After importing and activating a module the administrator must pick which users will be assigned to view the module This decision is based on the nature and scope of the CBT Module.

In order to assign a module to one or more users:

  1. Select the module you want to assign.
  2. To add all available users to all available modules click on the ASSIGN ALL Button.
  3. Select the users you want to assign to the selected module. You may select multiple users by holding the Control Key and clicking on User Names.
  4. Click on the >> button to add the users to the list of users assigned to the selected module.
  5. To assign all users to a module click on the ALL >> Button.
  6. You may remove a user from the list of assigned users by using the << Button.
  7. Click on the APPLY CHANGES Button to save your changes.
  8. If you wish to assign users to another module select another module from the combo box. If you are finished assigning modules, click on the CLOSE WINDOW Button.

 

Assign Tests

This screen is only available to the administrator by selecting File - User Management - Assign Tests to Users. After importing a test the administrator must pick which users will be assigned to take the test. This decision is based on the nature and scope of the test.

  1. Select the test you want to assign.
  2. To add all available users to all available test click on the ASSIGN ALL Button.

  5. To assign all users to a test click on the ALL >> Button.

  8. If you wish to assign users to another test select another test from the combo box. If you are finished assigning tests, click on the CLOSE WINDOW Button.
