CBT Support - Administration

The Administration Screen

 

The Administration Screen is where an authorized by the company person creates, views and generally manages users and training. You can see the main administration screen below. Click on the image to enlarge it.

This screen displays a list of the created users including the two default accounts. On the right side of the screen you can see a help text that guides you. On the bottom of the screen there are six buttons that help you manage your users.

 

Training Details

 

This screen displays a list with users that have actually logged in and taken the CBT. You can see the total time they spent on the CBT and the order that they have seen the chapters of the CBT. Click on the image to enlarge it.

View Tests

 

In order to use this button, you must first select a user. This button will show a screen with all the tests, that the specified user has taken. Click on the image below to enlarge it.

You can see the date and time of each test taken and the score in percentage. In the bottom you can see 3 buttons. The Close window returns you to the main administration screen. The test report button displays a detailed report of the selected test. If the user has scored 75% and above in his last tast the create certificate will be enabled which will lead you to the certificateion screen. You can search for another user's test by entering the user name in the top space and clicking the search user button.

 

Test Report

 

The Test Report Screen displays all the questions taken and answered by the user. You can either save the report into an RTF (rich text format) file that can be opened by all versions of Microsoft Word or print it by clicking on the appropriate buttons. The Close Window button returns you to the User Tests Screen. Click on the image below to enlarge it.

Add Users

 

By clicking this button in the Main Administration Screen you are directed to the User Creation Screen. Click on the image below to enlarge it.

To add a user you will need to type a unique User Name, the trainee's Full Name and optionaly enter a password twice(for verification). You must also select a rank and optionally enter a license number for the certificate. When you are done click on the Add User button to save the newly created user. To add a new user click on the new user button to restart the procedure. The Close Window returns you to the main administration screen.

 

Modify Users

 

To modify a user's details or change his/her password, select the user in the main administration screen and click on the Modify User Button. The following screen will appear where you can change any of the user's information. After making any changes you must click on the Modify User Button to apply those changes.The Close Window returns you to the main administration screen.

Import/Export Data

 

This main administration menu option allows you to export the CBTs data and send it to the office or use it for backup. In addition you can import data such as users and tests from other installations or backups.

When you click on the Export Data button, you will be asked to save a file in a location on your hard disk. This is the file that you will need to send to the office if requested to do so. This is also your backup file if anything goes wrong with your PC so make sure that you keep a copy in other storage media.

 

When you click on the Import Data button you will be asked to select an appropriate file, such as a backup file and the software will import any users, training details and tests from that file that are not alredy in your main database.
